Dr. John W. Hooker
Dr. Hooker is a 1986 graduate of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. He has proudly served our country as a U.S. Naval Dental Corp officer and has been a successful private dentist since 1989. Dr. Hooker brings a wealth of knowledge, commitment and passion for dentistry to our practice.
He has accumulated over 2500+ hours of advanced continuing education in areas such as: sleep apnea therapy, cosmetics, implants and implant prosthetics, advanced prosthetics (crown, bridges, dentures and partials), oral surgery, bone grafting and complete “smile make overs”. He recently completed a yearlong mini-residency at Tufts University in the field of comprehensive treatment of sleep related breathing disorders, such as snoring and sleep apnea, with oral appliance therapy.
Dr. Hooker and his wife, Kim, have three wonderful children (Kate, Caroline and Graham) and are excited to be relocating to the Greensboro area. An avid sports fan, especially the UNC Tarheels, Dr. Hooker enjoys running, biking, hiking and fishing. Dr. Hooker is also very involved with Mission House Ministries, Inc. doing dental mission work in Guatemala. He helped build and supports the current dental ministry in Comitancillo Guatemala, “Smiles for Christ Guatemala”.
The Loves of his life, wife and children, are also enjoying their newest addition, Parker, a yellow English Labrador Retriever. The newest addition is a “real handful” but is a pleasant addition to their family.
